About Us
Third Coast was the first outfitter to offer guided waterfowl hunts in the Bay City, Texas area. This means that we had first dibs on the very best properties. We still have access to many of those same farms plust farms in other parts of the rice-growing prairies. All our properties are being carefully managed to attract ducks, geese and sandhill cranes. They consist of agricultural land with rice, soybeans, milo or other crops, plowed ground where geese get grit or grub weed sprouts, ryegrass and winter wheat fields, irrigation reservoirs, and pumped up shallow water areas. All of these spots are a short flight for the birds away from permanent federal roost areas along the coast, and man-made roosts inland.
Randy Triplett was born and raised in La Porte, Texas. He has a degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Science from Texas A&M University. He grew up hunting geese on the Texas Coastal prairies and fishing along the Texas Gulf Coast. Randy is married to his wonderful wife of 31 years, Judy, and has two grown daughters and two grandsons.
