The owner Randy Triplett was born and raised in La Porte, Texas. He has a degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Science from Texas A&M University. Randy has been hunting geese in Texas for 42 years now. Third Coast Outfitters has been in business since 1983. We strive to put our clients on birds through management and skilled guides. Third Coast was the first outfitter to offer waterfowl hunting in this area. Through the years we have built a lasting relationship with the landowners in Matagorda County to secure only the best waterfowl properties.
Properties are chosen by water, location, and agriculture. Water is the main attractant for geese, and by pumping up large areas of water we can insure our clients will not only kill geese but also see thousands of geese. Every one of our properties sits in a main fly away. Feeding geese equals dead geese. Properties are carefully selected to have plenty of goose forage. Main sources of food are rice, corn, wheat, rye grass, and soybeans.
