Third Coast Outfitters of Texas LLC is owned and operated by Randy and Judy Triplett, who bought the company in 2002. Randy was born and raised in La Porte, Texas. He has a degree in wildlife and fisheries science from Texas A&M University (1975). He grew up hunting geese on the Texas coastal prairies and fishing in the bays and surf on the Texas Gulf Coast. Judy grew up in Corpus Christi and has a journalism degree from the Univ. of Houston. They have been married more than 28 years and have two grown daughters, a grandson and a grandchild on the way.

Third Coast's founder and previous owner, Bobby Hale, passed away in 2001 after a battle with cancer.
